God should always be part of the equation

It had been a wonderful and exciting month. You see I’ve been working in a call center for about 6 years now and the airline account from which im connected to has decided to pull out their office in manila and return it back to the US.

During the past few months, there were some mixed emotions with my fellow employees, some of them have bitterness, anger and the feeling of being abandoned by our company. These is because some of them, after working hard for so many years feels like they do not know where they are going after the account ends. Many of them are like me, who have worked there for at least 3 years or more.

The worst thing is that most of them, after working so hard  for so many years actually admitted that they do not have any savings at all. You see these are the mistakes that most of us employees think. We feel that our boss or the owner's of the company we work for has the responsibility to take care of us and make us rich. Sometimes we fail to realize that out boss’s job is not to make us rich, our boss’s job is just to give us our monthly salary as stated in our contract. It is our job to make us rich.

However, this is another topic that I may write on in the future. The sad part is that, when we do have these commotions in our lives, we tend to panic. We forget who we are.. We blame other people. We sometimes stop trusting God.

You see I don’t really call myself a religious person, But one thing ive learned from this past few  years is that, if we do not include God in our everyday lives, if we do not put him as part of the equation, we would never really succeed.

When I was studying engineering in college we had tons of calculations, so many mathematical formulas, a bunch of trigonometry, algebra, differential equation and calculus. We always have to follow a certain equation to come up with a right answer. The critical part in these is that, one slight mistake in your equation, one wrong number or figure, would likely result to a wrong answer.

Success and luck is the same. They say that the formula for luck is  O+P = L=S. Opportunity plus Preparation equals to luck equals to success.  This is true for the most part but I have derived  with a better formula and that is G+O+P = L/S.

Love of God + Opportunity + Preparation = Luck = Success.

Add God in your life, give him your undivided attention and subtract your worries, you will see your blessing multiply a hundredfold!

Aim high, live life, Love God.
